Clover Coffe Machine

This article was from wired magazine in July 2008 but, I still find this piece of machinery truly amazing so I thought I'd share it with you. The Clover Coffee Machine, recently bought out by Starbucks (unfortunately) was set to revolutionize the way coffee houses served patrons. By brewing the coffee at precise temperatures for a predetermined amount of time the barista can customize every cup of coffee made based on the type of bean/roast/etc. At $11,000 per machine the cost is enormous however, the results are worth every penny. Welcome

Welcome to what I like to call My Own Blog. Here I can share with the world things I find interesting/cool/new, convey my own ideas, or rant about whatever I feel at the time.

Here are some examples of what you might be seeing in the future.

From the Daily Mail, Roman Abramovich one of Russia’s wealthiest citizens has purchased himself what can only be explained as his own personal cruise ship. The Eclipse coming in at 557 ft and costing nearly half a billion dollars will truly be a spectacle dwarfing every other yacht it docks next to at any port in the world. [Source: Daily Mail]

From one of my favorite blogs, Jalopnik we can see that the BMW/Audi advertising war that started last year has gone overseas.

“This whole tête-à-tête started last April when Audi put up a small billboard in California that said "Your move, BMW" with a picture of the Audi A4. BMW fired back with a giant picture of an M3 with the word "Checkmate" above it. Audi re-responded and that was the end of it until now.”

This time the battle is taking place at the Hong Kong Audi dealership where BMW has purchased the very enormous billboard on the front of the dealership promoting their new 5-series model.

From the lifestyle blog, Luxist we are shown an exquisite property for sale in the town of Los Gatos Hills, California.

“The huge 16,000 square foot home is new, modern and pseudo-Mediterranean in style but don't toss the McMansion sobriquet at this one yet. The most impressive space might just be the master bedroom in which the bed faces curving windows and a fireplace so you can stay toasty warm while enjoying the view. The home has a large gym, downstairs media room and a gourmet kitchen with a blue kitchen island. The home includes a pool and spa and a guest house. It is listed at $16 million. [Source: Luxist]
